Project Manager with Expertise in Change Management

Tagence is seeking a full-time project manager (PM) with experience in business process improvement and change management for immediate hire.

Project Role

You will work as part of a small team supporting the implementation of an information management project. This project includes transforming the way a Federal agency manages its records and information. The PM will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and quality completion the project. The PM will ensure on time, quality deliverables; monitor project spending; and manage the relationship with the client. He or she will also have experience leading business transformation efforts. The ideal candidate is a team player with great communication skills that places high priority on meeting client deliverables. Project Management certification or Change Management certification is a plus. You must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.


  • Interface with customer to obtain understanding of the project requirements and communicate project status, risks, and challenges
  • Direct the work of the project team to ensure that the team is meeting the project goals and stakeholder’s vision
  • Create and manage the MS Project Schedule to track project tasks, milestones and deliverables
  • Manage project budget to ensure that the project will delivered on budget
  • Develop a strong customer relationship and understanding of the customer’s needs and challenges beyond the scope of the project
  • Continually monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Develop or keep all relevant process documentation up to date
  • Work with the customer and business process team to develop recommendations to enhance the client’s records management system
  • Facilitate meetings with the customer to communicate and refine recommendations, socialize the path forward, and energize stakeholders about the new direction
  • Develop and implement change management models and programs
  • Ability to document and deploy process improvement strategies


  • Experience developing and managing project schedules with MS Project
  • Experience managing projects and a team with up to 5 staff members
  • Experience managing project budgets
  • Experience writing and editing technical material
  • Experience managing scope and customer expectations
  • Track record of delivering projects for Federal customers
  • Track record of successfully leading change or transformation efforts
  • Experience facilitating customer meetings and requirements sessions

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 3+ years of experience as a project manager for Federal government clients
  • Experience managing budgets, resources, client communication, schedule, and quality delivery
  • Experience with information management solutions a plus
  • Project Management and/or Change Management certifications a plus

Work Location and Travel

  • Leesburg, VA – Must be local
